Hey Randy,
I forgot to tell you that we gave one of your crew a ride last month, during the trip to the St Helens Maritime Heritage Festival. while he was here for a Buick Car Show, and he spent the entire time (3 hours!) down in the engine room with Bubba and Ron and Bob Alton learning how to start up and operate those big Packards. From all the reports I heard, he is gunning for your job down there in Big Easy! I just wanted to let you guys know if there is anything we can do here in Portland to help you guys out feel free to let us know. Thanks Jerry

YES JERRY JACK AND HIS UNCLE ENJOYED THE RIDE.

AS FOR A LAUNCH DATE THERE IS NOTHING IS DEFINITE. WE WILL SATRT THE 3 PACKARDS BEFORE THE END OF SEPTEMBER . THE NEW CRADLE WILL BA FINISHED IN OCTOBER OR NOVEMBER. THAT WILL ALLOW US TO LOWER THE BOAT DOWN AND WE CAN USE THE GANTRY CRANE TO INSTALL THE ENGINES AND FUEL TANKS THE 40MM AND OTHER HEAVY EQUIPMENT. AFTER WE COMPLETED EVERYTHING WE CAN AT THE MUSEUM. WE PALN TO MOVE TO THE OLD HIGGINS INDUSTRIAL CANAL YARD WHERE SHE ORIGINALLY OUT FITTED TO FINISH HER .

Just make sure the flames coming out of those pipes wont catch the ceiling on fire! Just in case you were unaware, there will be flames until you get your carbs tweaked in especially while starting it up. I cant wait to see the video of your first startup!

Simply wonderful, everything is going according to plan from what I can see. When we fired up my Packard Engine, I thought the people where going to call the Cops, the windows were rattling.
