Well guys, while I have been filming for the next mission, I decided to sneak in a photo inspired by the cover photo of Bridge's book "First-Up" and the outstanding crew of the 157 boat. After I got home and downloaded the some 400 hundred photos, I realized that I should have made a T-shirt for that guy in the center and taken the binoculars off the XC and put them on him. But you get the idea.

Carry on

Gang . . .

Take a minute and click the link below, to Photobucket:

http://s130.photobucket.com/user/ptboats/media/Roy%20Forbes/Mastdown.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0

If you click the little magnifying image in the lower right corner a couple of times (First on the displayed image, then on the pop-out image) you'll get to very large detailed view of the above photo, give it a try. It great to see it clear and large ! ! !

Roy;
That enlargement looks really awesome, It gave me a cool idea, now if we send you photos of ourselves, you can photoshop our faces on the crew figures!
Take care,
TED

Now that would be cool, it is as close as one could get to being a PT Crew Member. I like that idea Ted.

Now that is one of the funniest ideas I have had heard in a while guys. Dick, after we send you our photos, you must post the updated crew photo. I have Photoshop Elements but I have not installed it yet and I don't even know how to use it. I'm feeling a bit over whelmed here with all the on-going projects. My head shot will be on the way forthwith.

Here is the original color version. This might be better for the crew photo.

Hold on there Frank! What if you just showed up and went underway on the PT658? Wouldnt that count as being a crew member on a PT Boat? Jerry

Jerry, if I had good knees, and wasn't so scared to fly, you bet it would count. In fact you guys would have a hard time getting me to leave........

Hey Frank, make sure you are wearing your skippers lid when you send that head shot to Dick. Also, you should reserve your location on the boat. The guy to to left in the bridge is already spoken for. Come on the rest of you guys, lets get those photos over to Dick.

My thanks to the guys who started this web as it encouraged me to look into Photo Bucket. I was happy to see that there are pictures that deal with PT Boats in general, including RON 9, PT154. If I wanted to go back and correct some captions on the pictures in PB, how would I go about it?

Roy;
I want to reserve the guy, standing tall, the guy who you said "T-shirt for that guy in the center and taken the binoculars off the XO and put them on him" I will also be wearing my Dad's Officers(with embroidered bullion officers insignia) hat for the photo.
Take care,

Pat;
Just go to the photo in PB you choose, highlight the caption and rename it/edit it as you need to.
Take care,

That's awesome Ted. Please let Dick know that when you forward him your head shot.
I was all set to re-shoot that photo with the binoculars around the standing guys neck but it was a bit to windy on the river this morning. I hope it will happen over the next few days.

I sent my head shot in a few days ago, NO, I didn't try putting any hats on this already fat enough head. Where ever you can fit me Dick that's fine. I do like the twin-fifty mounts, although I could feel comfortable at the forward 37mm or 20mm Cannon, so I can keep a good eye on those guys in the Barge.................
