Happy Memorial Day today, to all our military veterans -- with a special salute to the World War II PT boat vets that we honor and celebrate on this website.

We will honor you always, and never forget you.

Thank you -- for our country, and our freedom.

Happy Memorial Day to all the remaining members of the Greatest Generation!
I'm a splinter of a GM2 off the 242 & 243 boats. It does my heart good to know there,s still some of his shipmates out there. Wishing you all the best!

S. Bernick
Are you the son of Louie Bernick who was from Erie PA.? Louie was an addition to our 242 crew to man the additional twin 50's that we deck mounted on the bow in front of the charthouse. H e came aboard in about March 1944 when we started patrolling out of Green Island. I don't believe he was relieved off the boat when the original crew was relieved in November 1944 for leave back to the States. He stayed on and I never knew or heard from him after we left the boat. I would like to hear more about him. My Email is randocjw@aol.com.
