ť Topic: To paint or not to paint....

Looking for advice on my PT-166 project. I've already painted over the deadlights, but should I also paint over all of the vertical windows as well? I've been checking some books, but don't see anything definitive. I'm dating the time period as July '43, shortly before she was sunk.
Thanks for any suggestions.
