Thanks Dave for all of your hard work and correspondence with Italeri. With the updated Kit, there is no stopping any model builder who wants to build any Eco PT Boat. Can't wait for the 77 Footer, hint, hint.....

I just want to say Thank You to, I fell in love with modeling pt boats back in '63 and and waited almost 50 years for a decent one to come out, I can't thank this sight, you guys and Itatelri enough, and I can safely say, I want more! A 77' Elco and a 78 ' Higgins would be fantastic.

AWESOME Dave. Thank you. I second Frank's thoughts but if that 77 footer comes out this year, I will surly be overwhelmed.

Echoing my thanks as well, Dave...or should that be "Elco-ing?" At any rate, it will be a welcome addition to the kits, and I look forward to anything else 1/35 PT related that may follow.

Good news, Dave, thanks.

Any word from Italeri on a possible 109 crew figure set?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I saw the picture of the kit and heard there may be more items included. Do you have any news on this? I would at least like to see torpedo tubes and racks, 50 cals would be gteat too.

It's my pleasure. I'm really waiting to see what all is included as well. What I can tell from looking at the box is that it will include the following...

Both SO Radar masts and dome styles.
40mm bofors
20mm Oerlikon and shield as found on early Elco boats out of the factory and ammo drums.
Both styles of torpedoes. I would say no tubes. Not sure about roll off racks hut I hope so.
Correct life raft
Depth charges
Anchor
Some life preservers.
Photoetch which includes the Day Cabin connecting plates.

I'm anxious to see this kit as well.

As for crew, I'm not sure. I would suggest going to the Italeri site and sending them a nice meassage expressing interest in the crew set. They are not planning any additional PT Boat releases this year but again I would suggest dropping them a line because their marketing department calls the shots.

Hi there David.

Sounds good but based on the price of their stand alone 40mm Bofors gun kit I think this set is going to be in the $100.00 price range. It'll be interesting to see what the actual price is.

Thanks for keeping us updated.

Cheers
