I will re-ask this ...

In the first photo - the one of the SC and PTC, do I see the letters PTC on the port bow of the PTC?

Re: photo above (PTC 46) From Terry Holtham's book:

MO-442 (Ex PTC -46, Ex RPC-60) Trumpy Yard No. 292
The craft was accepted as PTC-46 by the Soviet Commission on 21.1.44 and subsequently delivered on convoy JW57 to Murmansk on 28.2.44. The craft became MO-442 on 24.3.44 and on 1.4.44 joined the Northern Fleet. On the 21.5.44 the craft was in use protecting inland waterways and iron supplies out of Archangel and on 29.6.44 joined the Black Sea Fleet. On the 3.7.44 reclassified as Patrol Boat CK-442 and served protecting communications and bases in the Black Sea from July to September 1944. On the 30.4.48 the craft was placed in the Reserve Fleet for long term storage. On the 4.8.54 it was removed from the active list and returned to US Naval forces at Istanbul, Turkey.

Al, I wonder what is the source for some information about lend-lease PT boats in SU fleet. And I guess it could be that Terry Holtham's book you mentioned above. Can you post information, for example, about TK224 from that book? If there is such an article of course.

Igor.

Hi Igor,

Will do so as soon as I get my computer back from the shop. It had a fatal crash last week and I'm working off a crappy laptop at the moment.

Al, thank you for information. I found the first book and two more similar in scans. A.Shirokorad obviously used book of S.Berejnoi about SU fleet and also his book about lend-lease ships in SU fleet. They are dated 1988 and 1994.
