These were sold to the navy by Capitol Engine Company during the war. They were Waukesha ICK motors that were modified for PT boat use. They had a dual function, supplied electrical power to the boat, and powered the bilge pump.

I'm looking for a power unit, and control panel for the 305. I would appreciate any information on locating these.

While I don't have the generator, I do have the instruction manual and parts list for one.

I suggest the same as I did for the 2.5 kw gen. Besides, if they bite, you will probably get an episode on their show on the History Channel......PR!!!!!

We are searching for an engine which looks like this. It is a water-cooled Waukesha ICK.

Hi Higgins fan, just going on the colour photo the engine that drives the Gen. Set looks to be the Willys Jeep side valve engine any idea if this may be so , as such it may open another area for you to search.

The search for the US Generator is closed, however we will continue looking for Capitol Engine Co. items, and Waukesha ICK engine parts. We are now rebuilding one of two Capitol Engines, the second one is waiting its turn.

Also, we are moving forward to building the control boxes. So the search for carbon pile voltage regulators, resistors, switches and instruments. What I find interesting is I found national stock numbers for some of the parts. We are fortunate to use Haystack for researching parts.

What a good day indeed.

My article appears in Gas Engine Magazine this month. I'm hoping someone recognizes this engine in their garage.

We found another ICK thanks to the Gas Engine article. This one will be used as a spare.

Our re-built Capitol Engine was test run a couple weeks ago. I will post the video in my next newsletter. My Facebook site page also has that video.
