» Topic: Need a really good photo of late war Higgins 78
http://www.ptboatforum.com/cgi-bin/MB2/netboardr.cgi?cid=101&fid=102&tid=2519

Guys;
I have been in contact with Jerry, and I am going to send him a retirement flag for my DIV-O, LCDR Chafian. The flag is currently on the way to Pearl Harbor to be flown over the USS ARIZONA(BB 39) and USS MISSOURI (BB 63), once I get the flag back I will send it to Jerry, so it can be flown over PT 658.
What I am looking for is a good 8 x 10 photo of a late war Pacfic 78' Higgins at speed in the Pacfic, such as, RON 31(PT's 453-455, 462-473), RON 32( PT's 474-485), or the Squadron that was supposed to go to the Pacific, RON 43( PT's 625-633). Our intention here is to create a flag certificate for him, send it to Jerry with the flag and it will be signed by the appropriate PT 658 representatives and the photo will become the watermark on the certificate.
I have some RON 16, 17, 19, 20, 23 photos but since this watermark is going to represent PT 658 at speed in Measure 31 camoflage. this is what we are really looking for.........HELP!
Take care,
TED

ted
I have plenty of Higgins photos, but mostly they are early boats at speed. I have several of the Higgins Hellcat, and a few late war boats, but i can't find anything at speed, which I assume you mean planing out..........

Frank;
You are correct, Planeing out: at full speed. Even when I was at PTHQ, I have noticed there are way more ELCO photos than HIGGINS photos.
Oh Well. Still looking for an at speed photo of a Pacific 400 series or a supposed to go to the Pacific 600 series Higgins with rocket launchers and everything else.
Thanks.
Take care,
