Dear fellow mambers,
My research, on the 103 class elco & the aft light stancion ( center aft ahead of the " smoke generator " bottle ) , shows me 3 different configurations. Does any one have a nice clear legimate photo of the installation which I can use for accuracy on my scale unit please. Cheers, B.J.

B.J.,

There exists an excellent close-up photo of PT 109's stern when it was stowed on the Joseph P. Stanton's deck for transport, showing the light on the flag stanchion (I'm assuming that's what you mean).

I think Gene Kirkland, who runs the excellent "PT King" website, posted some high-detail photos of PT 109 and some other 103-class Ron 5 boats on the Stanton at one time that can be zoomed in on without any loss of clarity. I remember discovering from these photos that there was a little light on the socket portion of the flag stanchion at the top, which I hadn't known about before.

I think I have that stern closeup of the 109 in my Pictures file -- send me your email address and I'll shoot it to you if I can find it...

B.J.,

Dr. Ross' photos illustrate what you're looking for far better than the one I meant!
