About 5-6 years ago someone from the Vancouver area interviewed my father for an upcoming book concerning PT Boats.

Wondering if anyone knows if such a book was released.

Hi Dick, I think I have the answer for you as I corresponded with David on a couple of occasions, but its been so long ago I don't know if this is still his contact info. The below is from a posting on the Message Board:

SUBJ: PT Veteran interviews

I have just finished scanning about 45 pictures Arthur Frongello sent me of his boat PT 302, RON 32, operating in the Mediterranean. I have also conducted a 3 hour phone interview with Arthur about his service in the Mediterranean.

I have also interviewed Walter Kundis, Ron 36, PT 524 and have scanned some 150 photos of his boat in action.

I am in the process of interviewing Parker Miller, Ron 1, PT 27 about his service in the Aleutians and then in the South Pacific.

And just last night I had my first 2 hour phone interview with John Davis, RON 30, PT 460 who served first in the Channel at D-Day + 4 and then in the Pacific with RON 11, PT 183.

If you are a vet and served aboard a PT, Tender, or at a PT base, I'd love to interview you for my book, the tentative title of which is "Stingers of the Mosquito Fleet."

Email me at: patroltorpedoboats@yahoo.com or write to me at:

Call me at 604-517-1035 (west coast). We have a 7 month old baby, so I'd appreciate calls between the hours of 18:00 and 21:00 hours.

Thanks to the men who have already decided to have their histories in the PT Fleet documented and to the rest of you PT veterans, I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks much. "
