I have never seen one. So.....Did Higgins install builders plates on their boats? If so what did they look like(if anyone has a photo, please post it here), where were they mounted? What were Higgins builders plates made out of bronze or bakelight?

Yes they did. Like ELCO, they were metal early and plastic (of some sorts) later on. Here's some:

Although it was a late war PT-625 class, Here is what they looked like inside PT631 charthouse. Similar, but more stylized font for the Higgins word. Jerry
