Carl took 2nd place For his diorama of the USS Oyster Bay as PT Tender at the IPMS Nationals in Omaha. Remember this build!

Carl, thanks to you and everyone in Omaha who put on this show. You all did a splendid job and I enjoyed every minute of it. In my opinion you deserved 1st place for your entry. I also want to thank you and the rest of the ship vendors for a nice evening at your place.

Take care
David Waples

Hi Carl,
Congratulation! I quickly dashed off this information to my publisher, Schiffer. Hopefully

Thank you, David and Everyone!

I am still tickled pink about the award. It is an honor just to Place in the National Convention!

I want to add two more PT Boats to the diorama and then get it to The Mosquito Fleet Exhibit.

To toot my own horn, my 1/350 USS Absecon AVP-23 won 1st Place in its category. Same basic kit as the Oyster Bay was converted from.

My 1/700 scale USS DuPont DD-941 won a 3rd Place.

Mr. Waples,

I'm assuming we met, during the convention. Please forgive me for not realizing where I should have known you from. Please email me with a photo of yourself, so that I can put the name with the face.

Humbly yours,

Carl M.

WOW!!!!!!!!!

Did I read this post correctly. You want to add 2 more boats before you get it to my EXHIBIT. I am so honored that you would donate this MASTER-PIECE to my PT BOAT EXHIBIT.

Rest assured the Diorama will take it's rightful place with my other Models and Diorama's. She will be right out in front for future Exhibits, and Model Shows in my area. I can't begin to thank you enough Carl. I am without words....................
