Just received a copy of TAISTO-LUOKAN MOOTTORITORPEDOVENEET (TAISTO-class motor torpedo boats) by Auvenin, Haukiala, and Meronen. Written in Finnish and published by Finnish Naval Museum (Forum Marinum), it is a 278 page soft-cover monograph printed on coated paper. Photo reproduction is good and there are a number of excellent general arrangement drawings by Olli-Pekka Haukiala.

I haven't translated any of the book, yet, so cannot comment on what is addressed. However, Mikko Meronen is the curator of Forum Marinum and Olli-Pekka has done some heavy-duty primary research on Finnish MTBs, so I suspect it's good stuff.

Hi Al,
Can you print the cover of the book you mentioned in Message Board. With so many
pages, it could be a great book. How many pictures?

Hi Victor,

There are about 65 photos and 16 technical drawings:

These boats were derived from the Baglietto MAS 500 series design.
