Greetings all,
My 1:72 PT-109 model made FSM magazine this month! I sent them the photo ages ago and it finally shows up and without warning. I was surprised to say the least! Here's the link to my finished model pictures..

Hi David,
Great job. I wish I know about this earlier.
Looking through my file, I found another article on PT 109 model in
1/72 scale, FineScale Modeler, Sept. 1994, page 50, in case anyone
interested.

Dave,

Congratulations! Your 109 is undoubtedly the most accurately-represented PT 109 model build ever presented in a modeling magazine.

It is beautifully done and deserves a wide viewing audience, which it now will get.

Peace/Shalom David.

It is wonderful when something you labored over is recognized in a magazine. I bet you were really thrilled with that. It's a beautiful model. Well done and thank you for sharing your success with us.

Cheers from Peter

Hey Dave-

I just picked up my February issue of Fine Scale Modeler and saw your PT 109 in the MODELERS GALLERY. Very nice model. Nice write up too! Way to go buddy!

Saw the model while at Stan's house as he suscribes to this magazine. Nice job. How did you white out the background? I would love to take photos of all of my models and do the same thing.

Hi everyone, thanks so much. It was a surprise to me to see it in the magazine. They don't tell you anything.

Frank, it's actually a light blue background. I think FineScale Modeler even calls it FSM Blue. It's photographic backdrop paper. I have a home made photo booth made from PVC. I use a three light system and take no flash pictures. I also use Helicon Focus software to get the entire subject in focus. A manual focus camera is required to do that.

Please let me know if you have any more questions.

David,
This is off topic but I saw some pictures that you posted of twin .50 gun mounts in photobucket. Is this in your possession? We are looking for this item for PT 305. What can you tell me about it? Please e-mail me mrfixithd@aol.com

Thanks,
Bob
