When I received these pictures from builder Frank Ryczek, he told me to make sure I had my boots on. I can now see why. This is incredible work and will add so much to our PT-374 Memorial Project. Well done Frank, it truly is a masterpiece that I hope all who see it will agree. As soon as this is shipped to Alex Johnson, we will place it on the base. Should look awesome to say the least.

Frank

Hello everybody!

Frankie A. had called me and asked if it was possible to remove the lights from the from front, interior and the rear door lights. I told him no problem but in reality it was. I removed the three in the front, the rear light and two interior lights. I just couldn't get my hand or a pair of tweesers to remove two light fixtures from the inside rear wall.

Frank A said that a vast majority of the carpentry work was done in the light f the day and with these light fixtures all shinning brightly, it would have been like a beacon to the Japanese as if to say, "Hey, dummy, I'm workin' here!!!!!!!!!!!" So off with the lights.

There were also some changes to the roof that had to be made as well. I was going with a basic A-frame design with the roof coming down almost to the ground. It proved to be waaaaay to big for this project, so the original roof was removed for what you see here. I kind of like this one better as it's looks like more of a shack than anything. I hope everyone likes it!

Carpenters shack is now on the way to Alex, minus those Airport Runway Lights that Frank put on (Ha, Ha). Also enclosed is 2 dozen more regular trees, bushes, and vines. More photo's as we progress........Special thanks to my good friend Frank Ryczek who because of his huge heart and solid committment to this project, made much of this possible. His skill as a model buildier is second to none and I thank him from the bottom of my heart, for making this Memorial project a big success. Special thanks goes out to my fiends Alex Johnson and Stan Pienkowski for their continued help throughout this project. Alex, who is the project manager has donated all his time and expertise and is responsible for putting this all together. His skills in backdating our Italeri boat is second to none. Stan worked so hard on the Quonset Hut we decided not to use, and has made the massive case for this project, cutting it down after it was completed because we made a mistake in the height. I am blessed to have three wonderful friends like this, Hell as far as I am concerned, three Brothers, who I can always count on. I am so very excited to unveil this project to the McNeish Family this month, and will post final photo's here of that special day. Keep watch, more photos as we move forward to completion.
