» Topic: Fold down platform - PT-150 thru 159
http://www.ptboatforum.com/cgi-bin/MB2/netboardr.cgi?cid=101&fid=102&tid=1955

Hi,

Ask PT vets that were on the PT-150 thru 159 boat if they recall a small fold down platform (on which one can stand and look over the helmsman's head) attached to the cockpit's inside port-side wall.

Thanks!

It does look like Kelly is standing on something in some of the cockpit shots, but the only port side fold-down seat I know of was a sort of underway-seat for the helmsman on some of the boats.

My Dad is 6 feet two. It looks like his ExO is up on something. (PT-154).

In this picture the brace for something is still on the correct wall.

Thanks Nat. I had looked at this photo in photobucket for some time a while back. I can see what may be traffic wear on the floor, that is about the same width as what appears to be a piece of 2x4 attached to the wall, around the area where the platform would have (might have) been.

Did you get my email on this about 2 months ago?

Thanks,

Bridge
