Planning a model to compliment the uniform I found a while back. I have an Elco 80' model coming (PT 109) and know I have some work to do. "At Close Quarters" mentions the boat having a 40mm, rocket launchers, some 20mms, and I THINK I recall reading about it having the Olds 37mm autocannon.

I could use some help first and foremost selecting the appropriate armament. Does anyone know if it had the 37mm? I also wonder about the quantity of 20mms.

Finally I am curious about the positioning of the 20mms, twin .50s, and rocket launchers.

If anyone has a picture of her, that'd be awesome. In absence of that, if anyone could post pictures or links to pictures of how these weapons were mounted on a similar boat, that'd help a BUNCH.

Thanks...

What time period was Mr. Hatfield on PT 129? I have a few photos of her in Spring/summer 1945.
Take care,

I really don't know, but plan to send away to the National Archives for his service information as well as that of an unknown aerial gunner whose uniform I came across. I will email a few folks that may be able to tell me for sure. I am still working through At Close Quarters and taking notes. The model showed up today, it's going to take a little bit of work, I think...

I'd love to see those pictures, though. I need all kinds of info on paint scheme and the like.

Thanks, man.
