Offer to Interview any PT Vet
http://www.ptboatforum.com/cgi-bin/MB2/netboardr.cgi?cid=101&fid=102&tid=176
I do video work, and some web work, and I would really like to personally interview any one who served on the PTs. If you're comfortable with that, I'd be happy to drag along my cam corders and sit down with you to hear any stories you're willing to share. I'd come to you, at your convience. I'd certainly give a DVD copy of the interview in return, and you'd be giving a gift to the world - again.

Mike,
I think this is a grand idea. I'm surprised there aren't offers. I met a great fellow who was a motormac on the 171 at the Reunions. He lives in your neck of the woods and still is vibrant and runs an insurance company. If you will email me I'll forward his address and phone number to you. I've sat and listened to his exploits for quite a few hours at the last 2 reunions and he loves to tell about his experiences. He's a wonderful man and has some interesting insights on PT service.

Mike,
You may want to interview James Darby, who served on PT 331 in RON 21. He was a motormac and has a great memory of all things PT related. He lives in the San Diego area. Please advise if you want his personal contact information.

I know my grandfather would love to do an interview... He is in remarkable shape and still enjoys talking about his days on the PT Boats.
He was in RON 2, 3, and 40 as well as on the Acontius.
He worked on the 109 and knew all of the guys... Even had Kennedy hold a flashlight for him at one time.
I promise you would not be dissapointed.

Mike,
Where are you? There's an officer from PT-115 in Colorado that may be willing to do this as well.
