Sorry to take so long to post these. Again it was a gift from British Coastal Forces
at their celebration on ( I think ) the base at La Maddelena.

Ahoy there Earl.

I see an inscription on the lower image. As I make it out it reads:

From

British Coastal Forces

Mediterranean

Christmas 1945

North Africa - Sicily - Italy

Sardinia - Corsica

I hope that helps.

Cheers from Peter

The Base was closed before December of 1945,War was over.It looks like 1943. Only Ron 22 was there in Dec.1944. I arrived there in Dec. 1944. Joe don22 PT 305

Hi there Gary.

I looked at the inscription again and I see that you are correct in that it was 1943. I guess I was tired and mistook the 3 for a five due to the angle I was viewing it at.

Thanks and cheers from Peter
