» Topic: Any Mississippi Contacts?
http://www.ptboatforum.com/cgi-bin/MB2/netboardr.cgi?cid=101&fid=102&tid=1731

Anyone on the boards from Mississippi? My new project requires some better contacts in Miss and most of my dads family has passed or moved on. Totally unrelated to PT boats.

I finished up my WWII culinary history book, Thanks to Earl and all of the other veterans of WWII that shared some great memories. It was great working and talking to you. The book is now in the hands of the editors.

I am now working back at my regular routine with my state by state Hometown cooking series. Mississippi is next. I Have some great recipes from my remaining family and friends and lots from my Coast Guard Coasties but am lacking in a few areas. And we are heading to the state several times in the next few months.

Any help would be appreciated, any recipe used is credited to the person and you get a free book. Shoot me an email if you have any questions. You don't have to be a vet or in the military for this. But as many of you know I am a sucker for a recipe from a good "Cookie" or "FSs"

Have a great weekend. - Kent

Thanks for the emails asking questions

YES - you can submit a recipe even if you are not currently living in the state. So if you were stationed there, lived there or have your grandmothers cake recipe and she was from Mississpi and you would like to preserve it as a piece of culinary history then please send it in.

And if anyone knows of any old cooks and bakers schools in the state let me know that as well. I love visiting WWII era smaller museums.

Thanks - Kent
