Guys,

Today, something happened to me here at home that I did not find to be at all amusing and I found it to be a little disturbing and not only that, it got me in a little hot water.

I got something in the mail from a company from ART UNLIMITED from a P.O. Box in South Bend, IN.

My mother opened it (as she needs to with all of my mail because of my disability) and it in was a drawing of a partially nude girl with something asking for or if I wanted to receive erotic stories.

The name used was my T. Garth Connelly 'professional' name and the four digit addition to the zip code was correct.

As I don't ever visit porn sites or put my address on anything but job applications - I surmised that it had to be someone who dislikes me and knows me from my website and my online posts.

People, that stunt was not at all funny.

Garth

I am sorry to hear about the disturbing mail that you received. I am afraid that it is caused by the world in which we now live. With Google or other search engines about all that one needs is a name and approximate location. There is very little privacy today.

A fellow member of IPMS received the same thing as well, so we are thinking that the database at either IPMS or FINE SCALE MODELER was/were hacked into ...

A word of caution here people, the envelopes (both to me and the other gentleman) were hand written ...

Garth,

Hopefully I don't receive the same thing -- when I was on that FSM Forum the other day, I clicked on my member name icon, and, much to my surprise, all my complete address information popped up, which I certainly didn't intend to be available to the world at large.

I'm contacting FSM to (hopefully) have them remove or block the info.

Thanks,

Garth

You would not be complaining if one of those pictures was of Charlies Angles.
