Jerry,

How do we acquire a copy of the book on 658 with Dick's cutaways?

Hi Al,
We are selling them for $15 each. I can mail it to you if you want to. I will need your address. You could send the check or money order to our address on our website to Wally Boerger or myself and I will make sure it gets sent asap. PS You could email me separately if you want to discuss this in more detail. Thanks! Jerry

Hello Message Board PT Boaters , Modelers and enthusiasts! If you are interested in obtaining one of these books, feel free to email me and I will make it happen. They are 28 page books that are chock full of excellent cutaway drawings and interior/exterior photos. Dick Washichek outdid himself on filling this book with numerous cutaway drawings of every aspect of the boat. All of the Board Members were overwhelmed at the level of detail and professional look of the entire book. We have obtained enough for fundraising and It would make an excellent addition to your PT Boat collection. Thanks! Jerry

PS Dick, could you fix the spelling on this topic heading from PT658 Boon to PT658 Book? Thanks! Jerry

Lets add that the Vets and other Board members including yourself were involve to keep my "Shady Self" in line and to see that the illustrations and other items were correct.

OK OK I did not recognize that it is supposed to be BOON not BOOK. Sorry Al. I think it attracts more attention anyway the way it is! Yes Garth $15 is all we are asking. But it IS for a good cause after all! If either one of you ever come to visit Portland I would give you a personal tour of the boat! That should be worth something, right? Jerry

Hi Jerry,

As much as I'd love to have a tour of the 658, I am not sure my wheelchair would fit below decks ........... HA!

I don't think a trip to Portland is in the cards as well as I don't have an income to pay for it.

Jerry, what is your e-mail? Also, is the an equivalent publication for the Elco PT-103 series?

Hi Steve my email is listed on this link.

http://www.savetheptboatinc.com/contactus.htm

I think Dick Washichek made an equivalent calendar for PT103 class that is available through PT Boats inc.

Buddy, yes that is our boat pictured on the cover. It was underway on Packard engines going 33.5 knots in the photo!
