Would be interested in hearing some accounts of chow on PT's. As temporary caretaker of the Reunion's Spam auction item I'd like to know more about the food. Good and bad. I'm sure there are lots of bad.

Also, I'm toying with the idea of suggesting to Reunion organizers that we do something for fun like an optional Spam breakfast or lunch to give the vets a chance to go YUK and for the Splinters to have a bit of fun. Any ideas around that idea would be welcome. I'll even volunteer to cook. From what I've heard I couldn't do worse than some of the boats' original cooks.

I would just like to apologize to the PT Cooks out there as I really intended no disrespect for your culinary skills in my remarks above. Without a doubt, you all did your best with what you had to work with. To paraphrase, "you had to cook with the stuff you had rather than the stuff you wish you had."
Thanks to Earl for his anecdotes which he has sent me.
Any other of you PT cooks out there who would like to weigh in, please do.
