Sweet Frank, the site is very well laid out. I love that Packard and can't help thinking about it mounted in my car. I'd be sure to pick up some Goodyear stock first.

And thank you once again Dick. Your support of our websites is very much appreciated by us and the thousands that visit them.

Thanks Fellas:

Dick should be commended for his continued work. He never refuses to help any of us, and he has been so very kind to me over the past year. His work on my new WEB SITE is simply wonderful. Note that the home page now has Music to the Video, and a direct link to Amazon.com for purchase of my Book and second book (not out yet). The water under PT-103 is breath taking. Dick is one talented guy and I say here and now, that PT BOATS INC., and all of us here on the message board owe Dick a debt of graditude......................

Hey guys,

Thanks Frank and the rest of you guys for the nice words. I'm always happy to help-out for the sake of PT Boat history, as time allows and my skill set fits the bill. I would love to have more time to study, draw and research this service, for what ever reason, it just fascinates the heck out of me and has become a real consuming passion.

I was happy to create the site for Frank, he has quite a bit of time, sweat and capital invested in his great exhibit, for a private venture that is. Requiring a site that would be taken as serious as the exhibit has shown to be.

As to the water effect on the home page: I remembered years and years and years ago there was a Java Applet that made a reflecting and rippling water effect, it was call the the "lake.class" applet. After searching the internet for a free version, it was found and downloaded. At this time I still wasn't sure it would work out. After configuring the code and writing it into the html file (Home Page) I took the page for a test ride. As you can see it worked out just fine. Luckily it fit the the PT-103 photo almost to a tee, the boat was at the perfect angle for the Java effect to work very nicely without becoming a cheap gimmick. Well maybe a little gimmicky, but in a nice way.

Thanks again for all the nice words, they are all very appreciated,
Dick . . . .

Dick

Not a problem at all. You deserve all of the accolades for everything you do for us. Not because it is my Web Site, but that home page with the water is simply the neatest thing since the transistor Radio. Thanks Dick...........

Thanks to the wonderful work of Dick Washichek, my WEB PAGE was viewed by several people who have contacted me. I will be meeting with one Family who wishes to donate some of their Dad's PT BOAT artifacts from his Service. All of them say the same thing, "What an Awesome WEB PAGE". Sorry to sound like a broken record here fellas, but I am so proud of that site, and I hope it will lead to another EXHIBIT somewhere...........
