Here is the PT-174 that Alex Johnson built for T. Garth Connelly using the Revell kit.  He used the White Ensign Photo-Etched set, the White Ensign 40mm, the John R. Haynes 20mm and two White Ensign Mark XIV torpedoes in the two forward tubes. By the way the Kit is a 1/72 scale model.

Thanks, Will. Those tiny zebra stripes were tricky and I was definitely seeing cross-eyed after several of my painting sessions. I appreciate Garth having me build a model of this uniquely armed and camouflaged boat. Frank, thanks for positing the picture!

Hi
Having built this in the larger 1/35th scale & going crossed eyed over the stripes I know how hard this must have been painting. Nice job loks great.

Thanks Guys,

Yeah, ... Alex did a GREAT job on it. Cannot wait to see it in person though.

The figures you see were painted by a guy named Al LeFleche in Chicopee MA. He is a master at figures. After seeing the figures that he did for the PT-171 Alex also did for me, I saw that figures added a sense of scale and depth to a model.
