Gentleman;
In 1997, I missed interviewing QM 1/C Ned Ganley by a few months, he went on his last patrol 6 months before I came home on leave from Panama. I went to his home and spoke with his wife Anne. She let me duplicate what photos she could find, which were only a few. I have them today, but they were not good photos, as they were dark and either damaged or under exposed. The few I have are crew photos, and one of PT 246 and PT 248 stowed aboard a ship, taking them from Panama to the Solomons. Ned was originally on 246 from commissioning to the Solomons, then he was trannsferred to PT 248 for the remaineder of his time with RON 20. Does anyone have any photos they can post of PT 246 and PT 248, Showing most or all of the boats in the combat zone, Bouganville in particular, because that is where Ned took the crew photos I have. The shipping photo is all I have of his boats, and I would like to have some good photos of both boats for reference to make a model of sometime in the future, as I have ideas of making 3 or 4 Higgins models, all boats I have had some sort of contact with via veterans.
Thanks in advance,
TED
