ť Topic: What Color Was the Interior Trim On PTs?

Looking at the galley & mess pictures posted earlier, I've always wondered, but never heard mentioned what color all the interior trim on the boats was painted such as around the doors jams, etc. Also were the door/hatch handles the same color as the trim? Everything looks black in B/W photos.
Just curious.

Black around the doors was the word I got from several Crew Members who say they remember. The inside was painted white so as to brighten things up below decks. Now, this is not to say that whatever paint was available for touch up or complete painting might have been brown or yellow or pink. Who knows, but I bet you will get some answers soon.
