It was about this time in 1945 that RON 22 was getting ready to come home. The war in Europe was won and over. It was a happy time and we had a lot to be thankful for. God ! New York looked so beautiful.
Add to this, the war ended with Japan and our worries about fighting a second campaign were ended also. Hey, how many wars can a guy get through.
Rumor has it the Japanese heard about RON 22 and took the easy way out.
I stopped in a church and lit three candles, one for the past, one for the present, and one for the future. A great investment.
RON 22 members, how are you doing ? Great I hope.
Love, Arthur QM3c ( Would have been an Admiral but we did our job so well the war ended too soon. )

Hi Arthur,
I hope you are well. I was just wondering if you got a flight home to the USA or got on a ship for the ride home.
Thanks you for your service, and for all the freedoms I grew up with.
Regards, Steve
