JFK diary is a wonderful piece about the at age 28 and home from the war and begins what he thought was his writing career. His first job was as a reporter for the Hearts newspapers. He accompanied Admiral Forestall and several American Naval officers and engineers. They were there to examining and qualify weapons of the German military.

It becomes apparent that JFK has an eagle eye for how things work and pros and cons come out as he makes his reports. I wrote up a two part piece for the Weider History Group and their blog site; www,GreatHistory.com. The story will be posted in a few days. JFK may be considered a pampered frat boy by many but when you read this you see the real man. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it.

The book I quote from is tough to find. I had to go through our interlibaray loan office and wait two weeks to get it.

"Prelude To Leadership, The European Diary of John F. Kennedy, Summer 1945", 1995
Edited by Deirdre Henderson and the man who was Kennedy's personal assistant for years, Hugh Sidey

Victor, Once again you have been very kind, This was a fairly simple piece to do for once since I only had to pay attention to one source and quote on person. Generally, I need three to six works to make one good blog.

There is a surprise in this work not by me but by JFK.

Thank you again Victor
