Once again Tuesday marks Veterans Day. A day in which we give thanks to those Veterans that fought so hard to keep America free. I tend to put in the forefront, the WWII Veterans and espically the PT BOAT VETS. I can't help it. They were the GREATIST GENERATION. In one moment, they were enjoying their lifes, and the next, they were running to their local Draft Offices to join up, and get into the fight. The young genration needs to understand that the very freedoms they enjoy, were put forth by these men and women.

The true HERO'S were the boys who never came home. They never got the chance to have a girlfriend, marry their sweeheart, raise a family, or become a grandparent. These boys were Veterans of the greatist conflict ever known. They sacrificed their very lifes so that each one of us can sleep in our warm beds at night, have a refrigerator full of food, or go to work each day. Bless them one and all. So as we approach Tuesday, let us take the time to thank a Veteran. Each day, I never forget to do that. If I see a a white haired man, or a man that fits the mold of the WWII generation, I stop him and ask. If he says yes he served in WWII, I reach out my hand to shake his, and thank him for what he did. Most WWII VETS only want just that. To just say thanks, nothing more. So, from the bottom of my heart, to all you WWII PT BOAT VETS, WWII VETERANS, KOREAN VETERANS, VIET NAM VETERANS and present day Vets over in the middle east, I say thank you for keeping our Country free, thank you for your sacrifices, and thank you for being who you are. GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU..................

Thank you all for your rememering and appreciating what the veterans did and do. Frank Anr\drus, that was wonderful. It is so true.
As years go by we veterans become forgotten more and more. Today's youth cannot be blamed for they know not what war is like, and never have had to experience the effects that a world war can have on a family and/or nation.
Today our country is in deep trouble. We need to fully support of our president-elect,. regardless of any personal feelings we may have towards him. God save America!

Hello fellow members.
It gives me much satisfaction to participate and monitor this board.
I wish my Dad was still alive to share.
To the Pt Vets on this site, God bless you. You were a select few.
I posted a previous thread with the same subject title. I havn't recieved any replies. Today is a special day for Vets, but it happens to be my fathers birthday. He would be 92 today. He was so proud of his PT service.

Thanks, PT Vets
