Hi all,
I've found a few more instances within that same series of Muster Rolls and Reports of Changes. Using that same link, I'll put the page numbers and what I see below. I noted that he became S1c at some point, but I'm not sure exactly when. I'm trying now to find something on this PT Advance Unit 5.

I don't understand what is going wrong, but it seems to only want to post part of what I've entered.
If a moderator could please delete those 3 failed posts, I'm going to try to upload a screen shot of my notepad document instead.
This would be a continuation of my first post, using the same link to the same muster rolls, and includes a few more "sightings" of him.
I did note that at some point he became S1c, during his duty station, but I haven't found anything on that yet. I am looking for something from this PT Advance Unit 5. The one date I wrote as it appears, and I can only guess they mean the 26th of the previous month.
My apologies for the post spam.

So it looks like PT Advance Base 5 was at Samar in the Philippines, according to the MTB RONs 7th Fleet War Diaries from 7/1-31/1945.
So far, I see where they assigned some PGMs (modified sub chasers?) there, but I'm still sifting through, to see if I can spot a squadron or individual boats.

So far, I see where they assigned some PGMs (modified sub chasers?) there, but I'm still sifting through, to see if I can spot a squadron or individual boats.

Here it looks like MTB RON 12 was pulled from PT Advance Base 5, Tinaogan Point, Samar, PI, on 10 August 1945, but I'm having trouble finding the ones between August and February 45. There's an entry for July but not digitized.
For now, I'm going to focus on MTB RON 12, but I have no idea if that was his squadron or not.

Hey Joe, As far as I can tell, he was not in a squadron, he was with the Advanced Base #5. There was a reference to him being in RON 16 , But I checked their muster reports and it was a different Dwyer.
