Larry,
I was the XO for your ride. I am so glad you enjoyed your experience. I just wanted to clarify, we do have forward tanks, two 800 gallon aluminum tanks, built from original plans. And of course we use these, as we refueled on Friday. And of course the aft tanks, two at 700 gallons We also have one of the two original DC gasoline powered generators in the engine room. A capital engine 5.5 kw generator, fully functional. It also acts as the primary bilge pump. We do however have modern AC generators and a fire pump, all diesel powered. Since we are certified by the USGC to take paid passengers, we had to meet certain safety requirements. Stanchions, lifelines, inflatable life rafts, fire pump, gas detection, etc, etc.
I also wanted to point out that we still need to install in the chart house, the radio direction finder, the antenna cutoff switch and the IFF. They are currently being restored.
Thank you Larry for supporting us and David, when you come down let me know.

Thanks for posting David, quite welcome Ted and Ensign Bob.
Glad everyone got to see some of the pictures of my experience. The one thing I regret from my experience is I did not get to see the boat while underway from the shore. For anyone thinking of visiting the 305 I would recommend either arriving early or plan on staying after to be able to view the next trip. There is a nice point adjacent to the boat house that offers a great viewing point of the boat leaving and returning by the breakwater. If your on the last ride of the day be sure to arrive extra early to be able to catch her returning.
