Hi Paul, I think you would find it's better than it looks close up. But there's no doubt it would benefit from a well done detail set. Without giving out any names at this point there is some interest. I have some ideas that would make this kit a real stunner.

I have something else to share with you. Here's a comparison of the new deck next to the old kit I built up. I either didn't realize for forgot that the Revell kit is a little short. I measured the new kit and it appears to be correct. I probably should have posted the out of the box boat I built since I did make some changes to my build. Anyway, everything I can see so far matches up to my drawings.

Thanks David, I come up with about a scale 77 1/2' for the old kit. Not bad on parts placement on the old kit from what I can tell though.
I hope the new kit's parts fit well, how well did the old one go together?

The old kit has some fit issues. It’s very old and basic molding. Hard to say what we can expect from the new kit but it appears that there will be some clean up issues at a minimum.
