Just log into your pt Boat Forum photo gallery and in your profile page click on the Explore button in the top left corner, Should be able to see all of the photos that have been saved from everyone. Mr. Conway's photos should be among the most recent postings.
Good hunting,
Gary

PT Conway, (Is it Paul?)
These are awesome photos! Thanks for posting them! I would like to talk to you offline concerning Chief Al McCready, who is one of our founding members of Save the PT Boat and your Dad. I have a photo showing him at the wheel of PT490 during the MacArthur trip. Can you contact my email address? it is XXXjerry.gilmartinXXX@intel.com
(Please remove the XXX they are there to foil spammers)

Thanks Jerry

Hey guys, Thanks for responding.......Been off the net while building a military museum.....Been crazy putting it together with only a few volunteers. I have a small static exhibit at the local state airport and now working on The Mobile Museum building exhibits.....

Anyway at the airport Ive talked to the manager who is open to having events and meetings there....Im looking at getting any Model Clubs, R/C group, Railroad Modelers or Veterans Groups to go and enjoy the facility. If anyone knows guys in the south Cook, Will, Kankakee County area let me know or have them contact me at ghqmilitarygroup@gmail. Airport is BULT FIELD in Monee IL.

Back to PT's.....I will try to pull up those attached photos from your posts....I'm trying to finish a Howard Enterprise PT accurate to the 490. Its slow going so if anyone does models I can use help out here. Also I want to put a PT exhibit together for the mobile museum so ALL info on the 490 is appreciated.. Or local PTer's I can feature with the exhibit.

My website for those interested; ghqmilitarymuseum.com

Thanks again......Bob

[Hi Robert, My Dad was the Staff Photographer for RON 33, I have posted pictures from the PT 490. I have extensive albums of Pixs, and your Dad's name rings a bell, as noted on some of my Dad's Photos, I'll look for them.

Hey Robert -

I just rejoined the forum - and saw your post. Let me know what you are interested in - my father, Paul Thomas Conway - was the QM and the forward .50 gunner for PT 490. He was on the boat the day MacArthur and his team were aboard, as well as several ops with drop-offs for submarines and raiders. I have the American flag that flew the day MacArthur was onboard, the Commissioning Pennant - and the original boat plaque (1 of 2) painted by Anthony Valero, that says Little Butch.

I have photos as well.

Hey Jerry - this is Paul PT Conway - I will reach out to you on your email today. I apologize for the delay, I did not have this email coordinated to my mobile device and I missed your message! I look forward to connecting with you - and I should have more photos up soon on the forum. I have photos as well as some hand-done maps my father did - for the last Christmas I had with him, he had take his photos and written out extensive notes on what they each depicted.

Of course - to anyone else out there with photos of the PT 490 - I would be very happy to see those as well.

Thank you!

Great....thanks Franklin and Paul.....I would like to get copies of any PT490 photos....Not sure on costs but if anyone has he means to make copies I'd be interested in buying if you could give me idea on cost.....
I'm putting together a Fly In and Military Show to honor vets and promote my museum. I'm looking to have a small PT exhibit.....
Also working on large scale Howard Enterprises PT.....Will be set up as 490....Exhibit will include video, uniforms, patches, photos and basic history.......
Event will be on June 9-10....Anyone in the south Chicago area that has navy items to display would be welcome.......
My ultimate PT plan is to get a donated 14 ft or so aluminum fishing boat with a hull as close as possible to a Elco and make a scale PT to trailer to events......
But it's for future as volunteers to help build these projects are hard to find......
