Here's an example of the detail which can (sometimes) be realized. 1:24 bow light.. note the lens detail.

The eye on the back of its stanchion has a through hole, about 0.010, in case I want to rig the safety lines.

Pat,

Thanks for answering, and man -- those parts are beautifully rendered.

My mouth was watering thinking of those twin-.50s in their MK 17 carriages -- and Mk 6 depth charges, and charthouse vents and running lights, and on and on -- in 1/72nd scale, to dress up the old Revell kit.

Oh well....
