Guys,
I have taken photos of the deck log listing from Archives II, and tried to send them to Dick once, but the file was too big ( I guess ). If anyone wants to know what logs are available for a certain boat.......let me know.

Steve,
See if there's anything listed for PT-548, Ron 28. Active in the Pacific from March/April 1944 through the end of the war (although my Dad rotated off the boat in April 1945). I suppose there could be deck logs from prior to the Pacific time too. I'd be curious just to know if the 548 boat logs existed at all at the archives. thanks. ---Dan

Dan C,
Sorry to say there are no Ron 28 deck logs at all in the list I have. I photographed them a little over a year ago.
I know how you feel because there aren't any for Rons 15 and 23 either, the two my father were in.

Steve are there any logs for Ron !9. My boat, (a Ron 19 boat), PT 242 and crew was placed in Ron 23 in May 15, 1944 and we were in Ron 23 until we were relieved of duty in Nov. 1944. If available I would like to see the logs of Ron 19 before we were placed in Ron 23.

C.J. , there are only two log books for the 242 covering the time period
July 1 - November 20, 1945. Nothing at all prior to that.

C.J.,
Although there are only two deck logs listed for the 242, there is also some kind of administrative
log at the Archives for Ron 19.
I remembered sending you at least one page that I took a photo of several years ago. On it was a list of men who reported for duty November 3, 1943, and you were one of them.
That may have been the only page I took a pic of, but I'll check. So, there is some kind of record of your time on the 242.
