I have the original TIF file for this poster. It can be 48 x 32 x 200 dpi or 24 x 16 x 400 dpi. The problem is that it is 185mB. Tell me the size you want and I'll post the TIF file in a Drop Box account for a week. I just do not have enough space to keep it there very long. I have the copyright for the entire poster but I have no intention of charging for this. You must not sell it either as I have not received permission from the original artists for the individual planes. It would make a terrific poster.
If this board would like to sell it or make it available I'd love to donate it.
This is what it looks like in full resolution.

Pat ... thanks for the complement. My Dad had a book of aircraft recognition silhouettes with pictures like the ones below. You didn't have much time to identify them. And even if you identified them as friendly ... some of them still attacked you as they did not do the same. I cannot image the stress of your combat missions. And attacks on PT boat by airplanes were usually at night.

If this poster is made up of a collection of artwork from other people you have not received permission to use, it is extremely misguided for you to claim you have copyright on the "entire poster" and could result in legal charges against you. Take it from someone who nearly got sued himself (me) over copyright, you need to educate yourself as to what copyright allows and does not. If I miss-read your intent, I apologize. I'm not trying to be a "know it all."

Every message board has its own personality and values. I never got an answer out of Dick if his know it all shot was aimed at me, but when the owner of a board expresses that, there's not a lot one can do. This is not a democracy.
I am far from a know it all - I freely admin there is a lot I don't know and while PT boats are of interest to me, I have no interest in becoming an expert in them - those experts already exist and I have other things I'm behind on. I can bring expertise on archival research and naval camouflage to the table and I will if the questions come up.
I've been posting finding from my research - for free - on my site for over 8 years now.... that's at least one document a month since 2005, including this PT Boats as mine layers instructions (not used in service as far as I can tell, but interesting to see that it was a possibility) and more than a few PT boat camouflage docs. I will take exception to anyone who says I don't provide any value.
But I also am a firm believer in offering a GOOD product, and doing the RIGHT thing. Offering a work with incorrect information using the works of others without their permission, well.... I know where I stand here now. I'll still check in from time to time to see if there's anything I can help with, but there are a couple of people here who have made their positions clear and so be it.

I guess I just don't understand the attack on Tracy. If I was reading this correctly, he was only offering advise. Why the need to be negative with the guy. I have been a member here since the beginning of time, and trust me, many of you are down right pain's in the asses when it comes to being correct on a model or anything associated with the boats. You take it right down to the nuts and bolts of the boats, and if anyone is incorrect, you have no problem correcting them. Sorry, I read all the post's a few times, and I do not see anything that Tracy did wrong. This is how we lose good people on this board, and if fact, this is how we have lost a few WWII PT BOAT VETS since I have been here. Our board was set up for knowledge and a place where people can enjoy and learn all they can about our WWII PT BOATS. I happen to think it's the best WWII online board around, with great people and some my friends. Let's not lose another person that can contribute and pass on important information.
