David,
Yes, cut from the wheels of an old Tamiya Tiger tank.
In answer to your previous post, quite a good photo here of the buisiness end of a tube showing the tripping lever cover.
You can see it is in two parts. The top plate has four slotted webs. The bottom part is welded to the tube case and has the wingnuts on threaded rod, connected to the bottom plate, which swing down to release the cover.

Jerry,
I think it was the Panzer Mk. IV H . Sprue E has ten wingnuts in two sizes along with some track parts, and I think there were three sprues in the kit. There are some in the Panther G IIRC but I have had them for ages so not sure. I just keep all this stuff for later.

Best Regards,
Stu.

Guys,
BEAUTIFUL work and well researched details. I am very intrigued! Glad to hear you're documenting (photographically) what you are doing and how you doing it. I hope you plan to put them into a book. The more books on making PT models that are produced then more will learn and build on that to make ever better PT models going forward!

Go, go, GO!

Thanks for the encouragement.
It's good to have all the experts on this forum to turn to for help with the little details.

Best Regards,
Stu.

Stu added a few updates, a basic day room cabin interior and some seldom seen coaming brackets at the engine hatch and aft turret: http://www.pt103.com/Italeri_PT109_Build_Stuart_Hurley.html.

Simply outstanding Stuart , you are adding detail that I am sure many of the model guys on the board will copy. Although I am no model builder, I will be passing the changes on to my buddy Stan, after PT-61 project of course........................
