Thank you Dick for coming to my rescue on this.
Your instructions for posting the photo's made this so much easier for me. I am not very good at this, so I would encourage others to try if they feel the same way. Its not as hard as it seems.
Thanks Dick.

Now on to my these photo's.
The first one with the 3 men together that Fred Hahn wrote on.
My Father In-Law is the one on the left. The shorter guy.
The other two I am wondering and hoping you guy's may give me your opinion on if you think they are the same men in the other photo's that I have added to this post. The other photo's are from a RnR trip in florida on their 30 day rehebilitation after leaving the Solomon Islands. On the back of these photo's my father In-Law wrote their first names. the tall blonde is named Bill. The dark haired fellow, is named Ed.
The leave I believe started Feb. 13, 1945
They were swimming and playing golf at the College Arms Hotel, run by the Navy at that time.
I would like to know if you all think they are the same men that are in the first photo. and if anyone knows them to be crew members of the 156. What their full names are, if they know them.

I also have a photo of my Father in law with a mystery women at a club in Boston. This is the photo I am wondering if we could find her. Maybe by way of Face Book or like Earl suggested a splinter site. The photo was in a Folder from the Circus Room Hotel Bradford - Boston - I believe from my father in-laws military records and his uniform. This photo could have been taken April 3 to May 8 1945 or Oct 6 to Nov.8 1945

Any opinions on the men and how we might find this women would be greatly appreciated.
Julie

I just ran across this crew list of the 156 that Steve N had found for me. I list's on the bottom R.E. Elwood as ships cook.
I don't see a date for this log, but the latest entry for coming aboard was 8/2/44
So could this be the name of the cook in the photo that Fred Hahn had wrote on the photo?
Would love to hear from you guy's on these photo's

thanks, Julie photo 001-1.jpg

Hi Earl: I was newly married and my wife Sue was with me the two months I was at the Fargo Bldg. in Boston so I did not get to see Sally Keith twirl those tassels but I heard a lot about "Scully Square" from all my crew that was there at the time.

Wow Earl!!! I would have loved to be your liberty pal if you danced with her! After doing a google search, there were quite a few good looking "Dancers" around then!!
Take care,
TED

I have not been to Boston since WW2 but someone told me the Scully Square area near The Commons was renovated after the war and high rise office and commercial bldgs. are in that area now.

Hahaha that's funny Earl, nice description. But I only see two tassels and one, um, carpet in the pic Dick posted. I guess you had to be there to see the other two.
