I would like to respond to Bridges comments on "other" boats certainly may have had similar experiances. As the family of a crew member of #156 and for our children. I am buying the book and I would like to thank Bridge for that comment. It made me feel that, that would be true for us. As I am trying to gather information on my father inlaws experiance this book may help me fill in the blanks. Thanks Bridge !

Thank you for the comment. Making connections is what this is all about.
What is your father-in-law's name and when did he serve on the 156? Although the chances for their recalling anything about other crew members from other boats are fairly much a hit & miss proposition, I can certainly ask the crewmen of 157 if they recall your father-in-law.

Hi Bridge,
His name is Robert Richard Rocheleau from Minneapolis, MN.
Thanks to Steve from the message board, he found him in the log books reporting for duty on the #156 on Febuary 23, 1944
He was GM2c
January 4, 1945 he recieved orders to return to the US West Coast for further transfer to MTB Training Center in Melville RI
So to answer your question he was on the 156 from Feb 23 1944 to January 1945
I could try and post a clear photo of his face from that time period.
I find the photo posting instructions confusing but I could give it a try if you think it would help.
