Hey Charlie-
Thanks for the link to the WC-51 site. A lot of really nice shots of interest there that will be helpful to me re-doing the model for our project.
The model is coming along! I heated the front right fender and "bent" it so it looks similar to the old photograph. I'll be scratchbuilding the jerry can holders. The figures should be arriving in a week or so from Peter Rekowski way up in Canada. Peter also sent me the WC-51 for the diorama project as well. Thanks Peter!

Hey Ted-
Do you have a make and seriel number on the WC-51 kit? I want to add a few to my Tulagi diorama.
Peter Tare- Do you remember the make of this WC-51 kit as well. I wonder if they are out of production or not! I'll have to do some undercover work to find them.
Thanks guys for your thoughts as the build is starting to really look good!

After looking at the photos of the WC-51 that Dick zoomed in on, the links Charlie provided, and the photos of the model Frank is working on it appears the side seating in the rear end was padded. Judging from the condition of the vehicle used for the model, the sailor on the rear fender might be sitting on what is left of the original "uphostery" or maybe a life vest to make the ride more pleasant. Just my guess. Frank really like the way you did up the fenders to make her look like the bucket of bolts as my Dad would have described the old Dodge in the photo.

Hi there Frank.
The WC-51 I donated was the Italeri WC-51 w 37 mm anti-tank gun. I think all of the Italeri WC-51 based kits except the ambulance are out of production. According to the Italeri instructions the model I donated was the Dodge M6 anti-tank gun kit No. 245.
AFV Club has the old but highly detailed Skybow WC-51 listed, at the hobby shop I deal with here in Canada, for $39.95 Canadian. Link: http://www.militaryhobbies.ca/product.cfm?ProductID=4152
For comparison, the Italeri WC-51 Ambulance is listed there at $49.99 Canadian.
Cheers from Peter

Gary and Peter the Builder-
Thanks guys for the kind words and the make and number of the WC-51 kit there Peter.
I've got four figures "seated" so far from left over figure part from the 40 MM kit I also built for the diorama project. I have about 2 1/2- 3 hours in just one figure and he still need to be painted. Having an absolute ball with this build.
Gary, Im happy that you like the "bucket of bolts"! She should be done in a few more weeks.
Thanks guys!
