Can I ask a question?
There were a few shots of a trio of men on deck of some vessel looking at a chart or a map. There was a causcasian guy in fatigues, a USN officer that looked of Japanese descent and what looked like a bearded Japanese civilian.
Is that a PT? I see twin 50s behind them. Could that be one of the boats that was handed over to the ROK?

I can't thank you enough for bringing this to our attention. I spent the last hour going thru the numbers and it is a wonderful collection of color photo's. There is something for everyone, planes, ships, Islands. boats, you name it and they have it. Some of the photo's are an awesome look into WWII.
Modelers can really appreciate this site, because it shows true colors of Aircraft and Ships, as well as Buildings, and uniforms. The site offers many differnt looks into the Navy uniforms of the day. Of course, the PT Boats offered show some really nice shots as well. If you have the time, it is well worth it to sift thru this stuff. My son, who dresses as a WWII Fighter Pilot for Air Shows, found some really great color shots of Pilots in their Fighter gear. Take the time gang, it's worth it. Lots of shots of the forward bases in the Pacific...................

Frank,
You are certainly welcome! I'm glad I could contribute this bit of info for those who weren't aware of it before (such as myself).
I got a kick out of seeing all those neat Kodachrome color photos of some of the "personalities" -- our current Republican presidential candidate's grandfather, Admiral "Popeye" McCain (#13518), Lieutenant Henry Fonda (#6235), and Lt. (j.g.) Gene Kelly (#6027), as well as Jimmy Thatch in both dress khaki and flight gear, Butch O'Hare, etc.,etc
The Archives needs a knowledgeable volunteer to go through those photos, post the correct captions, and group them together by subject (as well as flip them back the right way!).

I managed to grab all of the PT BOAT SHOTS that were on the archives page. There are a couple of photo's that are the same, but if you look are reversed. I had them made into 5x7 photo's ( done by Walgreens ) and they look great. As Dick told me, most of the photo's have a blue tiint to them, but look awesome on the reprint. It's worth it to have them enlarged, so once again Drew THANKS MANY TIMES OVER!!!!

Hi Ted . . . .
I just fixed up the photo links from PhotoBucket album and include photo descriptions. I'll send you an email of the minor changes I made to get the photos to load up the message board.
Great first try, next time you'll be a pro.

They do clean up well...with more effort they'd really shine (get rid of the hairs, etc.)
