One thing that does not come up often is the use of a power phone on the bridge. I do know that one was on PT 374, although I am not sure where it was hooked up. It could have been used for chart house talk to the Skipper, but not sure if it went to the engine room or not. I have never seen any boats ( models ) that show one hooked up. One day, if I have PT 374 done ( Alex Johnson ) I will be sure to add one. I wonder if they did talk to the engine room? I would think it would be pretty tough to hear above those three throbbing engines.

Frank;
PT 61 had this set up from cockpit to the engineroom in the Russells in May 1943.
In Oct. 1943, PT 59 also had it so 40mm gunners could be in contact with cockpit. I don't know if PT 60 had it. I imagine PT 61 also extended the existing system wirinig once she was converted to a gunboat.
Take care,
TED
