HQs would like to know who built this model and in what year. The hull is a
solid chunk of wood.

I am pretty sure I saw this model on EBAY awhile back, but not sure as to the history behind it. It was something that was not built by the ELCO NAVAL DIVISION. It is no doubt PT 109. The craftsmenship is wonderful and it is a different look from anything that is painted. It would look nice in the Exhibit tha's for sure. The planked decking looks awesome and the wood used really brings out the finsh.

Dick, I agree with Frank -- it's definately meant to represent the 109.

What's the approximate scale? It looks like it was closely copied from the 1/72nd scale Revell PT 109 kit (with the exception of the ports/lights/fittings on the sides of the charthouse, which were neglected on the Revell kit).
