Hi there.

I keep meaning to share this series of videos on UTube but I keep forgetting too. The subject is making a diorama featuring the 1/72 scale Revell PT-109 kit. There are six parts to the set. The MAster Modeller is Japanese and so is the dialogue. However you can probably understand the hands on demonstration. In Part 6 he shows how to model a geyser of water from an exploding shell. I found many ideas to try on my large scale PT boat models in this series especially the weathering he does. I hope you like them too.

Cheers from PeterTareBuilder

Hi
I've seen these on you tube.
He's done a great job on the diorama. The water & explosions are far better than I can manage.

Yes - I agree - he is rather good.

I wonder how that project would look if he used the after-market goodies that are out there for that kit now.

Not to be a nit-picker, but I did notice two 'errors' he made. The first concerns the flag; when underway - it should fly from the mast and not the jackstaff. The other 'error' concerns the 'PT-109' on the bow, that should not be there.

I was amazed at how he painted the figures and how he bore out the barrels of the guns ....
