Can anyone tell me if this photo was taken in Miami, FL or Rhode Island?

Robert;
I am digging through the past pages, and noticed this photo you posted, from the building plus the ship in the background(which looks alot like pre-war USS Jamestown), I would say this photo was taken at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, sometime in 1941.
Take care,
TED

Thanks, Ted. I've since found out that was Brooklyn Navy Yard also. My cousin, also Robert Orrell, reported aboard PT 30 at Brooklyn on 19 August 1941 so that photo was taken before that. I'm thinking the photo may have been the transfer ceremonies when PT6-2 was sent to England.
