Does anyone have a clear shot of a Huckins PT 255 through 264. That is clear enough to see/show armament configuration. I've search through the normal books by Chun, Johnson, Ferrell, U.S. Small Combatants, PT Boats at War and etc. Only found one but it was a distance shot and very dark. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
The Purpose:
For sometime now, I've been creating line drawings for a compilation of Isometric and Plan Deck Views of PT boat configurations either from drawings or more then likely photos published in book such as listed above. It includes 70’ & 80’ ELCO’s, 78’ Higgins and 78’ Huckins. Hopefully later on I hope to enlist some volunteers to browse through their photo/drawing collections and markup a diagram for boat number, armament type, mount, radar and so on and so on. See a sample below.
All the best,
Dick . . . .

Memphis has (or at least had) a number of color photos of this group of boats in Hawaii. The aft 20mm had been replaced with a 40mm and I think the tubes had been replaced with roll-offs. The last time I saw them was 30 years ago, so I may be off on the tubes.
I have a couple photos to upload once I get Photobucket working.

Huckins PT 95
I scanned this shot from Victor Chungs book. He identified the boat as PT 95.
Looking at the squadron page here I noticed that RON 4, PT 95 is suppossed to be a 78' Higgens.
Can anyone ID this boat?

DICK;
AL IS CORRECT, I SAW SOME OF THESE COLOR PHOTOS TOO BACK WHEN I WAS THERE IN DEC 1995, BUT I WAS NOT INTERESTED IN THEM, SINCE I AM MAINLY AN ELCO MAN.
I THINK WAYNE HAS A FEW B/W ONES TOO, I THINK HE SENT SOME TO ME AND SOME OF HIGGINS RON 17 THAT PASSED THROUGH PEARL ON WAY TO PACIFIC IN 1944. BUT MY COMPUTER CRASHED TWO YEARS AGO AND I LOST THEM.
TAKE CARE,
TED

Dick: I've got the 256,257,259,260,261&264 boats. Quality varies wildly, but you can see some of the armament layouts.....
I'll send them tomorrow, if you're intersted.

I have a few shots of some Huckins Boats, but they are in the Exhibit, which will be coming down this week. When the dust settles, I will get them to you.............
