Quick question, a friend of mine saw a build up of Italeri's 1:35 PT boat at a local hobby shop(trains) & noticed what he called trash can looking things standing on end in front of the cockpit structure. He said they had astric(*) type indentions on the top side. I've seen the model, which is very nicely done, but don't remember seeing the items. My first thought was that they were extra depth charges, but he said to him they looked too big. Were extra depth charges carried & stored on end in front of the cockpit & does the * indention coincide with what a depth charge would have?
Thanks.
Also: Quick apology to Ron Bishop who e-mailed me some pictures to post here on the forum & that I haven't gotten done. Also I still need to get the 40 pictures I scanned of my Uncle Howard's posted as well, but life & work have been way too busy lately. I'll get it done, but it may be a little while longer.
Thanks Again.

55 gallon drums (if they're large)?

Extra drum magazines for 20mm gun(s) (if they're small)?

Blake and Drew,
I'm guessing this is the boat on display at Caboose Hobbies. Hard to imagine another train shop somewhere with this kit on display. :-) It gave me an excuse to stop by on my way home today to check it out.

This boat is a straight from the box kit without any modifications. It makes into a real nice model without any modifications at all. Itis difficult to take a picture of it in the case because of lighting. To answer your question though, the cans in front of the cockpit (chart house) are 20mm ammo canisters sitting on top of a service ready locker.

It was built by an employee there and he did a real nice job.
