My Uncle Ralph Sizemore served on the PT 333 and PT 345. I have a picture of him at the small oven on PT 345 when he was cooking dinner for the rest of the crew. Does anyone have pictures of the 345 boat or 333 boat or crews they would like to share? Uncle Ralph was wounded by sharpnel while on board the PT 345. He didn't want to worry his mother so he just cleaned the wound and put sulfa drugs on it. He developed blood poison and had to be hospitalized, but he returned to the PT 345 boat later. I would like any photos or information anyone has about either boat. I will send the photo I have to anyone that is interested. Uncle Ralph had four brothers in WWII and his parents wouldn;t let him join the armed services. He ran away at age 14 and had a street person sign for his enlistment so he could fight. He was in New Guinea at age 15.
