Happy Birthday CJ - you are clearly part of the color that makes this message board the most interesting and fact filled on the net. Every story and every comment is a look back into terrible times of World War II. I'm sure as with my self there are many of us Baby Boomers on this message board who would have loved to stand shoulder to shoulder with you and experienced the U.S. Navy's Motor Torpedo Boat service first hand. This is heart felt and not to diminish or simplify the tough, hard and harsh times you spent day after day as a PT Boater. But we only have your stories and memories to fill our dreams.

Happy Birthday, CJ and please enjoy it big time.

All the best,
Dick . . . .

A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY C. J. You are from one of the greatist generations, a group that not only lived thru the depression, but as young men and women, fought a Global War. You paved the way for future generations so young men like me, could live in a World of peace and freedom. A World where I could make choices for myself and my Family. The sacrifices you made and lived thru as part of a PT BOAT CREWMEN should never be forgotten.

I thank you for what you did, and I wish you a wonderful Birthday. May God continue to give you your Health and a Family that appreciates all you have done. YOU TRULY ARE A PART OF THE GREATIST GENERATION ON EARTH...................

Thanks gang for all the birthday wishes. You made my day. You are a great group and I enjoy very much all your posts concerning PT's. I am glad to have spent some time with the Boats. I have certainly been blessed over the years with a wonderful wife for 63 years, a great son and daughter-in-law both M.D.'s and two beautiful and successful granddaughters. Also many friends. I couldn't ask for much more. I have been very lucky. Thanks again all of you!

P.S. Randy missed it by a year it is 83 years.

Have a Happy Birthday. You are one of those rare individuals that give this message board meaning. I have really enjoyed reading about your exploits. I think it gives us all a better understanding of what it was really like over seas and riding the waves on these wooden wonders.

Best wishes.
